Hello All,
Why do you think Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has recently moved over 100 tonnes of gold from the from the UK to its domestic vaults. - https://bfsi.economictimes.indiatimes.c ... /110608621
I sincerely feel it is a HARBINGER of something BAD things to come in the near future. I think the current leader at the helm has nefarious intentions in the future. I feel, after his current term expires he will declare/proclaimed "He was sent by GOD to protect this country" and turn India into an autocracy nation likes of Turkiye - https://www.universiteitleiden.nl/en/ne ... utocracies.
What you all think?

Smart move by India considering the geopolitical tensions across Europe.
I would even suggest BJP to dump "Acche din" slogan and introduce 'Sunehre din" (golden days) for the next election cycle promising everyone gets gold worth $33K, inflation adjusted from $25k promised years ago!

@boom ... Looks like you DID NOT care to read my comments after that link else you may NOT have made such a comment . Did I read it - READ MY LIPS - absolutely, emphatic, resounding YESSSSSS. I did read and ponder over quite a bit BUT I did not agree at all. UNLESS you have read something written in coded language (which ONLY certain cronies (wink wink) of him can understand) which I did not understand - pardon me.
This looks like another red herring to fool gullible folks IMHO. I do NOT ALWAYS believe what is written - it could be a propaganda or just to mislead gullible folks (certain cronies (wink wink) ). Hence curious to know what you all think.

A lot of countries are hoarding gold now expecting a volatile USD. I don't know why they decided to move the gold from the UK but it seems like a technical matter than a political strategy. Even if the country turns autocratic, not like the UK is going to seize the gold.

What's now clear after Trump's and Modi's wins is that, targeted promises like middle class cuts do not work. Blanket promises covering everyone no matter how improbable or absurd they are, always work. So, it's high time the opposition parties catch onto this trend if they want to compete.ShrimaanJi wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 10:43 am @SAPPORO - Yeah sure... another slogan another BS promise.
