UG CSE Student wanted to do Integer Optimization graduate level course

Hello

I am not knowledgeable education area. My son who is studying in University of wisconsin madison CSE (3rd year) he wanted to take graduate level course on Integer optimization. He continued to show interest in academic area specifically in math. He got some internship last year, and i am continuing to see his focus is more on academic side. I do not have enough knowledge to give him good guidance. Aleady he is attempting to do double major with major.

I never studied Integer Optimization during my college years, however looks pretty interesting topic( tad better than learning just another programming language). May be useful in Self Driving cars whenever it becomes reality

I usually do a desi method when evaluating a course. If there are well paying jobs in abundance then it's a good course otherwise it's a hobby.

Usually, anything in maths will lead to financial success in general in the US or Europe or India.
