Teamsters endorsed Obama in '08 , '12 and then endorsed Clinton in '16. I don't think it can be explained by race/misogyny. It could just be due to the fact that Tony West (who is also brother-in-law to KH) is a Sr campaign adviser to Harris' campaign. He's an Uber Executive (also an Amazon counsel on legislative matters) is a notorious union buster with a track record of lobbying (and successfully helping pass legislation) against organized labor.

Interesting article from NYT about Tony West and his record

I doubt a typical union guy would have all this information! There's Before Trump and After Trump in America. Trump has normalized racism and misogyny which was not the case before 2016.
Maybe not the average union member, but definitely the members who take the time to vote in their union endorsement polls!

In that case, they might have heard about this as well https://newrepublic.com/post/184861/tea ... ew-workers which is a threat to their very existence.
It is what it is, and we are running out of ways to sugarcoat it.
It also means that Harris is going to face similar issues across the board and women have to make up for it to save America!

Watched the VP debate last night a little bit as without the clown, the debates are boring. Vance was the sleek snake oil salesman trying to "translate Trump" and to put lipstick (eyeliner in this case) on a pig. Walz was not looking folksy at all and was ready to erupt any time and not sure why he was not vetted on his unnecessary lies. Humor was indeed provided by the clown this morning when he called in to Fox Entertainment saying that Vance did well but not as well as he did in his own debate!

First it was Taylor Swift and now it's Jamie Dimon. Someone please endorse him- all he got were from the conspiracy theorists RFK Jr, pillow guy Lindell and the one and only Muskrat!

Trump getting increasingly and dangerously unhinged!
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/worl ... 28522.html
First of all, what power does he have on the election day to unleash military on its own citizens? Are Trump supporters so poorly educated that they don't even know that?
Some maybe looking for tax cuts- I like tax cuts but not at the expense of other bigger and fundamental issues. There will be a moderate republican in 2028 that would surely give tax cuts.
You don't have to thank this post or even participate in this thread for fear of repercussions. But please vote accordingly.

Another vile, spineless 'leader' who aided and abetted the creation of the monster and now trying to make money off of it with a new book - wonder who's the target audience for this book!

https://www.axios.com/2024/10/17/mcconn ... n-new-book

Following the 2020 election, McConnell privately called Trump a "despicable human being" and said he was "stupid as well as being ill-tempered."
The comments were drawn from McConnell's personal oral histories that he made available to Tackett and were made in the weeks before the Capitol riot, as Trump tried to challenge his election loss, per AP.
Trump's loss showed that the American people had had "enough of the misrepresentations, the outright lies almost on a daily basis, and they fired him," McConnell said in his oral history.
"It's not just the Democrats who are counting the days" until Trump leaves office, he added.

US is not ready for a woman president and probably won’t be in my life time :( as Trump will cross 300 from many polls including 538 poll.
Polls were wrong before, so I harbor a faintest hope that polls are wrong this time too !!

It's not just about gender. There are multiple factors.

Incumbency due to Biden
Getting very short election preparation time
Lack of charm, infact looks fake and totally unprepared
Lack of knowledge
Economy taking a downturn and high inflation
Wars around the world from horrible foreign policies
Huge influx of illegal immigrants and democrat policies to welcome them on red carpet

Michelle Obama was probably better suited but Obama team already knew the polls hence they didn't launch her this year. Michelle is who you will see run next time with right timing.

Hillary had lot of baggage and fighting against Obama incumbency. These girls are just not selecting the right time to win. 2008 was probably their best shot as Republican incumbency and bad economy was weighing very heavily.

It is quite unbelievable that a developed country of 330 million is not able to produce a single candidate who can mesmerize people. One has to choose from two horrible candidates. Atleast in India choice was clear. Nobody in their right mind can visualise Rahul as PM while Modi is people charmer. I guess both republicans and democrats suffer from the same problem as Congress. Having to deal with legacy candidates which is not giving other deserved candidates any chance. Only reason Obama was able to break the mould and win was because of his oratory skills. And ofcourse his brilliant campaign. Otherwise I still remember all the work from democrats to push him aside. Ultimately, it was his talent to win over people and beat Hillary in primaries.

The election could be close but for the biggest loser running against her. It is very likely a landslide with her winning 5-6 of the seven battleground states.
One million votes have already been cast in GA and I am sure majority is not for the convicted felon. :) There will be a significant percentage of republicans choosing country over party and voting for her, not to mention the overwhelming majority of women, youth, newly registered voters, minorities, seniors and other 'normal' voters.
