Re: Champions Trophy 2025
My DH, an avid cricket fan was very happy that Indian team didn’t listen to all arm chair specialists and lose to NZ so they can avoid facing Aus in SF.
He was saying if they are good team, they have to beat every one and they will! Hope he is right for next 2 matches. Good luck!!

All the other teams have/had to play their matches in different grounds and countries but not India. Funnily, both South Africa and Aus travelled to Dubai to train in Dubai at least for a day before the SF against India and SA must be on their way back to Pak now.RBee wrote: ↑Sun Mar 02, 2025 3:34 pm My DH, an avid cricket fan was very happy that Indian team didn’t listen to all arm chair specialists and lose to NZ so they can avoid facing Aus in SF.

All these ICC tournaments are conducted with Indian viewership in mind and hopefully they don't disappoint the fans once again.

It was a depleted Australian team but still win is a win! Brilliant show by bowlers and Kohli but disappointed that he got out before finishing it off.
Glad that "spring forward" is happening this Sunday and so the final starts an hour late (technically)

It's going to be Ind Vs NZ in the final.
Ind can't take NZ lightly since they have Rachin, Williamson for batting and the spinners that whitewashed them 3-0 at home, not long ago.

Re: Champions Trophy 2025
On paper, group B looked stronger but Finals are between top 2 teams of Group A !!
That’s why it is impossible to predict based on earlier performances like stock market

Not sure to which team in Group A we should compare AFG to in Group B - BD or Pak, both are currently worse than AFG!
Group B was in fact stronger, but I guess multiple rain washouts robbed a few teams of match practice.
