“No, he’s not going to be president, that I can tell you,” Trump proclaimed. “And I’m safe. You know why? He can’t be. He wasn’t born in this country. But the fake news knows that.”
LOL - why can't he use at least 1% of his normal bluster and say "I am the president because people voted for me" instead of going defensive and saying "He can't be president because he was not born here"!
Probably a hammer sees every problem as nail

This must be in response to criticisms to Musk's tweet about the need to hire talent from abroad.

Not sure why he had to bring up Trump in the very end. Trump is very opposite of what Vivek says since Trump is only good at "winging it" on every issue and his success entirely based on his popularity.

The best response was this:
"The Woodstock generation managed to build out aerospace, the one before went to the moon, America was doing great," he wrote in a reply to Ramaswamy. "Underlying your post is that we were all living in squalor until being rescued by H-1B's. Then why did everyone want to come here?"
The plot is thickening, maybe the "Little Viv Sammy" would be the first casualty of DOGE.

He is absolutely right that culture has taken a nosedive in US and that Americans will have to work harder to compete in global world. Especially in tech space, which is going to conquer the world soon. But as a colored politician he should learn from Obama on how to say these things especially when you are not white. A white person saying the same thing would be very different than him saying it. Moreover, he needs to get off the high horse of somehow being superior to Americans and be more humble and grateful for America to give him what they did, an opportunity. A colored rich person is viewed as a charity case in America and not as something that people aspire to be. He is not Trump or Musk.
These people need to stop defending H1-b in public and provide any support in background. This is so un-politician like. It is a controversial program as it brings more colored people in America. These right wing nuts do not care about American jobs. They only care about having only whites brought in. Otherwise they would target visas given to holywood industry which is ultra competitive and deprives lot of Americans from opportunities. But they don't because it brings in whites. In any case, I don't understand what is he trying to achieve by debating this on twitter. This is just silly.

There are parts of his critique that I happen to agree with like more reading books and less TV/media, but that's not unique to American culture. I'm in India currently and everyone from toddlers to sr citizens are all glued to their phones all the time.
Also, how is USA behind in tech space? Every piece of tech that the world currently uses came from US and all major tech companies are located in the US. Yes there are many H1B workers that are employed by said tech companies but that's not because US tech workers are somehow behind.

“However, I fully believe we must make the hard and necessary changes here in the U.S. to educate, build, and facilitate a solid foundation of knowledgeable, highly skilled, talented, well paid, AMERICAN workers. Not having this is like having a crumbling foundation in our house and currently we are importing foreigners to hold up the foundation walls and plug the leaks,”

Well o well! Indians who supported Trump and maga now realize the true colors of its racist supporters. It has come in the open on what right wing supporters think of Indians. This whole movement was started because of election of colored person in white House. It was purely based on racism. Racists could not believe that a black could become president. They joined after 2008 and started movement which changed a republican party forever. Moderate republicans became a term of abuse and all moderates started losing. It took them 8-10yrs but they gained significant influence and now racist is the way to go as these are loyal supporters.
Indians by nature would be republicans as they favor less govt and less taxes. Indians in general are socially liberal or do not care and willing to let the liberal agenda be not a priority. I guess it makes sense as they are there to make living. Hence, they naturally inclined towards republicans.
But now republicans have shown their colors, especially, maga movement which is purely for white immigration only. They do not want any colored immigration, legal or illegal. This should be a lesson for Indians in general. But then again we have democrats who are equally racists towards Indians and have clearly shown by blocking these same bills. Nowhere to go for Indians.
It's also a lesson for future immigrants from India. No matter what you do, you will never be one of them and accepted as Americans in the society. Regardless of you or your future generations doing all the heavy lifting.
