Watched Emergency and enjoyed it- thought it was going to be a propaganda, but it seemed very balanced. Played the clip of IG's interview with BBC on the 1971 conflict and was then able to appreciate Kangana's acting to portray IG in terms of mannerisms and voice modulation. IG's mannerisms were very similar to Diana's, I guess it's the other way around.
The cringey part was when JP, ABV, Manekshaw and so on break out into loud singing, other than that a decent directorial debut for KR.
AFAIK, none of this is taught in Indian classrooms. The movie also highlights the fact that in politics nothing is permanent and it's all relative.

Kangana and film makers took some liberty with the fact to look good in the movie.
1. LKA and ABV were in jail in Bangalore during Emergency, not in Tihar.
2. JPN was admitted/jailed in PGI, Chandigarh and later moved at end of 1975 when his health deterioted. He spent rest of Emergency period in Jaslok Hospital, Bombay getting treatment
for kidney failure.
3. Movie shows JP, Morarji, ABV, LKA and others lodged in Tihar Jail, Delhi which was not true. IG kept them separate to avoid any collaboration against her.
4. Rajmata of Gwalior and Maharani of Jaipur (Gayatri Devi) were kept in Tihar. Haji Mastan was also there. I was in the middle school then - I along with few friends went to Tihar Jail
when news spread that the famous smuggler was there. Even today I don't know why I went to see him, may be impressed with Deewar where Big B plays Mastan's character.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Be_Happy_(film) on Prime Video. Good acting by Abhishek, Nasser and the kid. Decent movie - not sure why critics gave it only 1.5 out of 5 stars, but I am sure Jinsak would give it 5 stars with
Nora in it
I’ve beef with Oscar’s awards this year

, how could they glorify a film that reduces Nora to simply aNora. Hereby I demand it should be renamed to TheNora

Nora is 33 and she looks amazingly young for her age!!
OTOH tried to watch ‘Nadaaniyaan’ with 2 nepo kids; Khushi Kapoor (Legendary Sridevi’s younger daughter) and Ibrahim Ali Khan (Saif Ali Khan’s son from Amrita Singh).
They are so bland, cannot act even simple scenes and don’t have good screen presence either.Had to stop watching after few minutes of torture!!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vidaamuyarchi - needed a lot of Vidamuyarchi (perseverance) to complete the movie. What a disaster and hard to believe Thala Ajith was reportedly paid 110C for this movie. Box office flop in India, maybe it did better in Azerbaijan where it was shot!
