Quitting cold turkey! How members do it?

I was looking at new members joined, new discussions started etc.
Disappointing to say the least!!
We used to have every-day posters like boca,layman, cantor, Koipond, and occasional sports related posters like rrs, cooking/banter posters like anwesha,dixit, bloggers like Kahlo etc.
All of them disappeared once the forum went away!!
It has been nearly an year this site opened up. This is secure site, no ad popups etc but none of those people signed up here.
How members who like participating in few topics suddenly quit cold turkey??

They probably don't know this site exists.
If it was possible to email all members from the old site, I am guessing, old site had signup requirement using email.

On below Reddit page this site is mentioned, however not sure how many are aware of the Reddit page itself. Usually the Reddit topic appears as first page on searching “What happened to R2IClubForum”.

Some people are aware and choose not to join. I like it's anonymous, and unlike reddit, it has consistency of posters. Gives me outlet to say things are not relevant to outside world.

The only person that I know that openly expressed severe withdrawal symptoms and depression on Reddit was R2MyOldWorld! I am surprised even he has not joined this forum!
