On the politics front, 2024 is a interesting year with both the largest democracy (des) and the oldest democracy (amreeka) going into general election mode.

In India, it appears that Mr. Modi might win a 3rd term based on some exit polls and state of the opposition in India. Is Congress still relevant in today's India?

Who do you want to win and why?

Obviously, BJP will win again- but I wish they win showcasing the perceived and much touted Indian progress than a temple granted that strategy of 'India Shining" had failed them in the past. At least BJP could have used the tagline "We also build temples" like the legendary Tata Steel commercial - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iw4CQIeWGHo!
I can only hope that along with Tamil Nadu and Kerala, a few other regional parties buck the trend and keep it competitive at least for the sake of an 'existent' opposition in the gleaming new parliament building.

It’s interesting that you called out TN and Kerala. Let’s take TN as a data point. Yes, it’s traditionally been run by Dravidian parties - DMK and AIADMK both taking turns for the last few decades. With Modi’s promotion of Tamil culture whether it is Sengol in the new parliament building or the back to back trips to TN ahead of Sri Ram prana pathistapana event and backing a new young leader Mr. Annamalai to head the state BJP, will it impact the Dravidian parties. If yes, then TN is up for national parties making a material dent in the state dispensation.

June 4th seems to be the verdict date. Let’s watch.

There is a significant hatred towards the union government in TN since they get very little in return for all the tax money they contribute. They also don't care about temples with a temple in every corner and under almost every tree. After Moopanar split the state congress party, even they could not remain a major party in the alliance and had to play a second fiddle to Dravidian parties and so no chance for BJP to make any dent without aligning with ADMK or DMK- most likely a clean sweep for DMK.
