Actor vijay (he is reigning super star). Do not flame me original super star fans) launched a new political party with an intention of contesting in 2026 assembly election and he openly called for coalition government.

He said BJP is idelogical opponent and DMK is political opponent. TN is famous for actors launching a party with MGR, and couple of others attempted. only MGR is successful one.

It is an interesting launch, and he communicated well to young one, with directly called opponents and mix it up messages which sounds right to most of the Tamil Nadu.

It's extremely hard to start a new political party and make it viable, with no intern experience.
Even MGR was 'interning' at DMK for a few years before starting his own. The only exception to this rule is Lord Ram himself, I meant NTR! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/N._T._Rama_Rao
At best, what this new party could do is to shut out BJP for good in TN.
