One of my known acquitance seem to have killed himself. We were not 100% sure if it is suicide but all likely hood that's the case.

He was in india . Continued professional success in IT in straight line . He was an employee. Both kids are married. He retired few years back. He is most spiritual and orthodox upbringing. He was struggling i heard last 3 to 4 months visiting psychiatrist etc.

While pondering over it, these things came striking
1. Continued success in straight line does it cause more problems late in life.
2. Frequent failures and struggles does it make life more purposeful and the desire to want more is a good thing
3. For desis, working in US between to 60 to 70 may be a good thing( those do not have right hobbies, right way to engage etc)
4. Entrepreneurs are better in managing life than a IT person
5. Spiritual and religious life is there a limitation
6. How not to over imagine life's problem and struggle mentally
7. How to create continued purpose with health issues, less money etc

I would not read too much into it unless we see more such cases. It might be some personal situation/issues that would have led to this sad ending.
If one did not have any purpose in life or had purposes accomplished, I would not go out looking for a 'purpose'!
There's always a silver lining in everything, no matter how bad the situation seems.
Take it easy and enjoy life

Suicide is a mental disorder and just like any other disease the earlier it's caught the better. After that you also need disease management and like any other disease some survive and some do not. We should not think these non-medical approaches will find a solution to a medical problem. But all the things you listed are good for anyone.
