Starting this thread in US current affairs, since the charges are made by a Federal NY district office in US. But Gautam Adani is charged directly with bribing Indian officials and concealing it to US investors. Adani stock took a 10% hit after the news broke.

Why's NY district court wasting taxpayer's money? American Oligarchs will rescue their Indian counterparts with NaMo as the middleman!
On a side note, a lot of Indian companies would be enthused to learn what can be achieved with a mere 2000 Crores in bribes.

The timing of this indictment is interesting to say the least...
