Do men purposefully make wrong/bad things on chores ?

Post by RBee »

Usual complaint of most ladies(wifeys) is their SO/DH make more mistakes on chores asked that make them regret why they sought their help in the first place.

Examples:
-Ask them to buy weekly groceries: Men buy wrong items, correct items but more quantity, repeat buys when first has not exhausted etc. List is given, so there is no room for error if you ask wives
-Ask them to do Laundry: Men mix colored and whites, clothes that should not be dried, wrong setting for drying and these mistakes are repeated
-Ask them to clean/dust the house: Mix all the items on Mantel, Showcase, Arrange pot holders wrongly etc
-Unloading of dishwasher and put them back to where they belong: All cutleries are messed up

Only chore they seem to do correctly is rinse the soiled plates/glasses and start the dishwasher.

Is this on purpose to avoid getting more orders :)?

I have not heard if wives mess up when they help men in yard work(putting Christmas lights, change welcome mats, change furniture in Patio, rake the fallen leaves etc)

The reverse happened with me, my ex used to delay the cooking the dinner sometimes so that I would come up with something :)

It's more to do with women being very particular about things done in a certain way. Moreover, detailed instructions given prior to the chore that drives men nuts! Men are not robots, and they have a mind of their own - just tell them what needs to be done and the endgame and not how it needs to be done and see the difference. One cannot even say this directly to their own wife and hopefully this suggestion helps a random man should his spouse read this :)

Examples:
-Ask them to buy weekly groceries: Men buy wrong items, correct items but more quantity, repeat buys when first has not exhausted etc. List is given, so there is no room for error if you ask wives- Yes, thats me Especially for more quantity.
-Ask them to do Laundry: Men mix colored and whites, clothes that should not be dried, wrong setting for drying and these mistakes are repeated-- Never-- I do all laundry for everyone except my wife's Indian dress. They show their true colour, just like my wife.. So I leave that for her.
-Ask them to clean/dust the house: Mix all the items on Mantel, Showcase, Arrange pot holders wrongly etc- Never she dont care as long as I am cleaning the house.
-Unloading of dishwasher and put them back to where they belong: All cutleries are messed up- Its gnerally other way around in my case.
- Only chore they seem to do correctly is rinse the soiled plates/glasses and start the dishwasher- I am pro in this area..

Now let me play other way round-- Many women, including my DW

Not a good driver- My wife got more tickets than me and more damage to the car than me. Just yesterday she messed up the bumper of our new car. All 3 cars front are damaged by her.

No clue how to get an oil change.

No clue how to use the vacuum cleaner.

So why am I not complaining? She gives me her entire paycheck/bonus etc and tells me to invest. And that's all I care...
