Tesla 0.99% financing on Model Y

Post by dicky_bird »

Looking at 0.99% finance deal for model Y. is it worth considering and any other discounts one can get.
Seems they took away cash incentives for model Y that were offered before 0.99% finance deal.
It would be really good with incentive and 0.99% deal.
Reason given Tesla model Y inventories are too high and not many buyers.
Another dilemma, personally drove rental 2022 model 3 (with 71k mile on odometer) recently and it had really annoying road noise on highway. not sure if model Y any better for road noise. I like quite cars similar to Lexus.

You come across as a financially savvy person, why this Kolveri? :) I met a young Desi Tesla owner just last evening on my walk, he said "because of this" it took him 10 hours to drive from Tampa to Atlanta instead of the usual 6.5-7 and he was not pointing to his wife but at his Tesla car!
Go for PHEV if you want to save the planet so you don't end up having a white elephant that keeps losing its value!

There’s always golden deer and man has to go after it weather it’s treta yug or kalyug.
I was happy with old car but was shown this as lifetime opportunity to go after.
Well will go back and try not to pursue this as it’s white elephant

on a side note - i actually took an uber the other day and got picked up by a Tesla.. it was a nice ride.. and it showed that the car had about 150 miles of juice. so i guess for daily local trips and stuff this s*%t might work.. but yeah if you are kinda going long distance i can see how this could be problematic. i speak from experience, coz i took my ebike on a 45 mile bike and beer trip and the battery died on mile 30 and it was quite the ride afterwards to pedal 15 miles to get back.. (on my bike the battery is supposed to have a range of 65 miles, subject to weather/ riding conditions/ riding style etc) agreed there were a lot of hills, it was a cold day and i was maybe a little aggressive in the beginning.. but did not expect the battery to just die and strand me in the middle of the ride.. so got me thinking, at least with the bike i was able to pedal/huff/puff my way back.. with a car one could be in deep soup.. so no i think i will stick with my gas mobile for now, till they achieve some sorta break thru in battery tech/ range..

Agreed. Last month when I was visiting BA, my much younger cousin in was trying to show me his 100k Tesla and how much he was saving on the $6 gallon gas. I told him that he would have been better off with a cheaper Hyundai EV to save on gas and not the 100k Tesla.

That recharging time on long drives is what puts me off EV’s.
