This is very old observation,
Dallas has become Indian city with lots of Telugu people.
Every corner ,there is Indian store and restaurant.

Local language is Telugu

Yes Dallaspuram, preferably next to Gandhi Statue in Irving (I mean Gandhipuram) :-).
One thing I found jarring in Dallas/Austin is too much of beef everywhere. There is beef in the air :)

In Dallas every second restaurant is a steak house and same in Austin. Coming from Bay Area where there are more Chaat Houses than Steak House, it is an attack on senses. How do pure veggies cope up with this or have they become tuned to so much of "gomata" slaughter?

If Dallas is Telangana, Tampa is fast becoming AP or vice versa. I seriously need to learn Telugu ASAP to even function. I understand most of it but have not ventured speaking to anyone and looking for local volunteers!

FL is never a great place to retire looking at frequency of hurricanes. One bad luck and if your house gets damaged by the storm you will lose big time. Insurance do not cover hurricane related damage. Even if you buy a condo not facing the water, the city may turn off power/gas/water. You will be forced to evacuate or move to a shelter. Who wants to do this in old age? For Desis TX is a better place if you want warm weather.
