Bibek Debroy just passed away. He was quite an accomplished person. You can google about him.

He wrote a few days back about his thoughts and it is a stark reminder, that no matter what you achieved, in the end it doesnt matter to anyone, it is just your spouse who gets impacted. Please treat your spouse well.

Brilliant... i think this realization starts to come thru when you are mid life.. you have lived a good full life.. your body is slowly going out of warranty.. the machinery will shut down eventually whether you like it or not. it is not built to last forever. for some it will come sooner and for others it will come later, but a shut down is inevitable.. when you are worried about taking any major decisions, the only question to ask is, will this even matter in the next 20 - 25 years ? I can guarantee you it will not.. the only loss will be the path not taken or the experience not had.. but even that will not matter.. i do not know who Bibek Debroy is or what he accomplished, but he is surely a realized soul.. the link to his article , when you read it sounds like he is at peace, where ever that is.. or perhaps nowhere...
